IRAMS enhancements requests

This list will be updated as progression on delivery is made and enhancement requests added. IRAMS administrators will be involved in reviewing, prioritising, scheduling and testing enhancements.

Identified issue

It occasionally happens that a fund manager needs to assist with applications and extensions that have been submitted to the incorrect approver unit. This is made difficult by the absence of the application reference number in the notification to departmental approvers.

Planned solution

To insert the application reference number in notification 1 and notification 10, which are notifications sent to departmental approvers.

Identified issue

A number of notifications sent out by the system, include in the cc co-investigators, departmental approvers and editors, which is not always appropriate.

Planned solution

In consultation with IRAMS administrators to review the cc list for notifications so that only the appropriate roles are copied in for each notification.

Identified issue

It is currently possible for applicants who create an application for a particular call deadline, to submit this application after the call deadline has passed.

Planned solution

To no longer make it possible for applicants who create an application for a particular call deadline, to submit this application after the call deadline has passed.  This will not prevent PIs from resubmitting their application after the deadline, if their application has been returned to them by their departmental approver or by the fund owner with the request to make changes and resubmit.

Identified issue

The message ‘PI: Application needs changes’ currently gives the impression that their application has not been successful, instead of asking them to make changes to their application and resubmit.

Planned solution

To redraft the ‘PI: Application needs changes’ notification inviting PIs to make changes to their application and to resubmit.
