Universities UK have issued a consultation on a proposed Knowledge Exchange Concordat. This sits alongside the metrics-based Knowledge Exchange Framework as part of the government's approach to stimulate and monitor the development of knowledge exchange excellence in UK universities.
The consultation document covers three distinct aspects of the concordat:
• the 8 principles
• a list of key enablers that universities may choose to use to demonstrate compliance with those principles
• a section on commitments and implementation – this sets out the actions that signatories will be obliged to take and the proposed mechanism for scrutiny and feedback on University’s plans.
The University of Oxford has submitted its response in time for the July 1st deadline. The response document can be downloaded from the KEIT SharePoint site under ‘KE Support’ (SSO required).
