The new University travel policy will be effective from Monday 1 August. It was approved in May this year and aims to reduce the environmental impact of University travel.
In relation to research funding, the type of funding determines whether the flight levy should be included in project costings as outlined below:
- Industry and fixed price contracts: include the levy
- All other funders: the levy should not be included (unless expressly agreed with the funder).
