The Strategic Research Fund (SRF) is a new internal fund for transformative investments in researchers and research.
The SRF is open to applications, through expressions of interest that must be developed and submitted by an academic division.
The aim of the fund is to help the University secure and nurture research leadership, enter new areas of research at scale, address major research challenges, and capitalise on external opportunities.
Proposals for investment should focus on funding principal investigators and research teams and on enabling the University to become the global leader in a significant field of research. Interdisciplinary and cross-divisional projects are encouraged. Proposals should be sustainable and demonstrate strategic commitment.
