The Huo Family Foundation is inviting applications for projects to address the above topic. The foundation will fund innovative, multidisciplinary research that is within scope of the funding call. Information about the call remit and funder expectations can be found on the funding webpage. Only institutions from the UK and US are permitted to apply as project leads or co-leads.
The grant value will be up to £300,000 per year for up to four years, with an expected start date of January 2026. The grant will not cover salaries of lead or co-applicants, therefore applicants must be employed on a permanent contract, or have separate fixed-term funding for the duration of the award.
As institutions are only permitted to lead one application, a selection process will be run to choose the application that will be submitted by Oxford.

- The project title
- Summary of the research vision and approach (2 sides); please show how you will address the Foundation’s remit for this call, including the areas of particular interest to the Foundation, which are listed on the funding webpage.
- A list of proposed internal and external collaborators, and their departmental or institutional affiliations
- CV of the lead applicant
