UKRI has announced several Network Plus funding opportunities.
A Network Plus is a strategic investment that brings together research organisations, policy makers, communities and wider stakeholders in order to identify, prioritise and develop emerging research and knowledge exchange challenges. By the end of the funding period, each Network Plus should have enabled a step-change in the connectivity and coordination of research organisations and stakeholders.
There are six Network Plus funding opportunities, each has their own funder webpage and guidance:
Each Network Plus will commence on 1 April 2024; the funding period for each Network Plus is recorded on its funder webpage. The UKRI’s application deadline for all Networks is 12 October 2023.
Oxford can only lead one application for each Network Plus opportunity. Normally, the University would run internal selection processes to select the proposals that Oxford would put forward; however, given that these calls are for the formation of networks, no selection processes will be run at all. Instead, interested parties will be brought together and encouraged and assisted to develop the networks and the corresponding single Oxford proposals.
If you are interested in leading one of these Network Plus opportunities and/or simply join one of the proposals being developed by Oxford colleagues, please get in touch with the Social Sciences Division (armando.romanzozaya@socsci.ox.ac.uk) as soon as possible.
