Faraday Discovery Fellowships Accelerated International Route

The Royal Society has announced the Faraday Discovery Fellowships Accelerated International Route

This funding provides a fast-track option for attracting mid-career researchers looking to relocate to the UK from overseas, providing £4million over a five-year period. The Royal Society’s deadline for nominations is 25 November 2025.

Oxford’s internal coordination process:
Eligible PIs will be nominated for this funding by their host departments. The nominations will be submitted to the Royal Society by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, on behalf of the University.

Therefore, the Strategic Research Development (SRD) Team in Research Services is coordinating Oxford's response to this call, so that all nominations are submitted to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor’s office together, and in plenty of time for them to be reviewed and submitted before Royal Society’s deadline.

Departments wishing to nominate a PI for this funding should complete a nomination form (see link below). The completed form must be returned to the SRD Team by email (srd.team@admin.ox.ac.uk) before 12.00pm on Monday 10 November 2025. The SRD Team will submit nominations as a batch to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor’s office.

Nominations received after 10 November - whether by the SRD Team or the Pro-Vice-Chancellor - will not be submitted to the Royal Society.

Please note that the accelerated route is distinct from the standard Faraday Discovery Fellowships funding call, details of which can be found here
