A small MALDI TOF system which runs both Linear (400-1000 Da) and Reflectron mode (above 10,00 Da). It's used most extensively for peptide and small protein analysis although it can be useful for analysis of non-biological compounds over around 400 Da and synthetic polymers. Resolution is limited and can become limiting in the identification of larger proteins. |
