The facility houses eight high-end analysers and five cell sorters. The Facility’s four full-time staff members can provide cell sorting services, with special expertise in single-cell sorting. Training is offered for self-operation of cell analysers and advice can be given on all aspects of instrument setup, operation and data analysis.
All of the Facility’s flow cytometers have high-end technical specifications to facilitate the wide range of research applications carried out in the MRC WIMM including, amongst many other applications, phenotyping to study changes in cell types following disease or vaccination and measurement of markers that are involved in haematopoiesis.
