Research England is inviting Higher Education Providers (HEPs) to bid for short-term preparatory/pump priming projects.
Funding allocated through this call is intended to prepare the ground for the full CCF-RED programme to be launched in Autumn 2023- for large scale collaborative projects to deliver specific priority topics identified by Research England.
Each pump-priming bid must feature at least 3 English HEPs (including lead University) and feature a partnership with business (including investors, accelerators, businesses etc.). Bids are invited against the following capability development areas: Ecosystem development, Proof of concept, Training and development for commercialisation or Physical infrastructure.
CCF Pump-Priming projects can apply to up to £1.5m, with a total capacity of £20m.

Internal co-ordinated bidding process
Oxford University can only lead on 2 CCF Pump-Priming bids. An internal co-ordinated bid process is therefore being run to select which bids will be submitted to this call.

The deadline for notifying RS of your intention to bid with Oxford as a lead institution is Friday 30 June 2023, 5pm.
Please note the University can be a partner institution on multiple bids.
The deadline for submitting CCF Pump-Priming bids to Research England is Friday July 28 2023.
