*FULL ANNOUNCEMENT* ESRC Centres 2023

The ESRC has launched its 2023 Centres call. Applications are invited for Open and Thematic Centres: 

• "Open" Centres: Oxford is permitted to submit up to two applications focusing on any of the research areas normally supported by the ESRC  
•  “Thematic” Centres: the ESRC will fund one centre in each of three thematic areas: Climate Change and Health; Sustainable and equitable low-carbon living; and Community participation and connectedness. The University expects to submit no more than one proposal for each Thematic Centre. 

In order to identify and strengthen Oxford’s submissions for the Open and Thematic calls, the Social Sciences Division will run an internal selection process. All applications will be assessed by a panel of subject experts from across the University, who will select the bids that most closely meet criteria for the respective calls. All PIs, regardless of whether their bid is selected for submission to the ESRC, will receive feedback from the panel.

Applications must be submitted to armando.romanzozaya@socsci.ox.ac.uk   by 12 noon on Monday 13 March 2023. The University's internal application process has been updated - full details can be found in the Guidance below.
