MRC have launched this year’s round of their MRC Equip scheme for the purchase of mid-range equipment for biomedical research. The University may submit nine applications to this call; therefore MSD is leading the internal selection process to determine which applications can go forward.
Expressions of Interest (EoIs) are now invited through IRAMS (“MRC Equip: Mid-range equipment for biomedical research EOI”) by 12 noon on Wednesday 30 October 2024.
Applications are accepted for between £100,000 and £800,000 for equipment costs only. Applications must consist of a single piece of capital equipment, which can include equipment requiring assembly or with several components provided that it constitutes a single technology platform.

MSD will aim to notify applicants of the outcome of their EOI on or around Monday 11 November. Bids that are selected to go forward to the MRC will need a full costing and RS approval in time for the MRC’s application deadline on 17 December 2024.
