More information |
This is a research Dual X-ray absorpometry machine. Capable of carrying out whole body, dual femur, lumbar spine, forearm, body composition including fat composition and vertebral assessment. This is primarily used for assessing BMD in osteoporotic patients but has the capability of long term assessment and analysis of BMD and body fat during drug treatments. We can also assess BMD post implant of joints whilst eliminating metal artefact. We can also do long term follow up looking at android and gynoid fat. With the spinal software we can do orthopaedic spinal geometry for studying scoliosis. |
