If you have any queries about accessing or using the reports, or spot discrepancies in the data, please contact the X5 Helpdesk (01865 (2)80089). Please provide your username, the name of the report you were trying to access and a detailed description of the problem you encountered.

FAQs
Firstly you will need to complete a BI user request form and seek approval from your head of department, departmental administrator, divisional secretary, assistant registrar (research).
Send the completed form to either research.services@admin.ox.ac.uk if you are requesting access to the research activity data or to both research activity and research income data) or to research.accounts@admin.ox.ac.uk if you are requesting access to the research income data only.
Once your user account has been set up you just need to go to one of the following BI report pages and and click on specific report you require under the links section:
- X5 BI reports
- Activity reports from GoPro
- In progress reports from GoPro
- Research income and QR reports
Accessing these reports requires authentication using your single sign-on (SSO).
If not on the University network, you will also need to connect to VPN. Information on setting up VPN can be found on the IT help website.
Your Oxford single sign-on (SSO) is the same authentication details (username and password) you will use for many University systems such as to access internal web pages, Weblearn and Nexus email.

It’s likely that your account has not been set up with the correct permissions. Please contact the helpdesk (01865 (2)80089).
For awards set up prior to FY 13/14 use the Activity reports from Go Pro > Research awards (grants and contracts) > PI details tab and select the funder you are interested in, in the left hand side of the page. Please see our guide for more information:
