Light Microscopy Facility

The Light Microscopy Facility is housed in the Old Road Campus Research Building and is freely accessible to all groups in the Ludwig Oxford. It provides and maintains cutting-edge instruments in the main facility, smaller microscopes throughout the Institute, as well as guidance, training and support for all stages of all imaging experiments ensuring best practice and reliable data.    

Instruments include:

  • 2 x Zeiss LSM980s including Airyscan Super-resolution, multiphoton laser, live cell incubation
  • 2 colour high speed, high sensitivity live cell imaging for cardiac myocyte imaging through Nikon Ti-2 and Photometrics Kinetix cameras
  • Long term live cell fluorescence and brightfield
  • Perkin-Elmer Operetta High Content Imaging
  • Hamamatsu Nanozoomer S210 Slide Scanner
