UKRI is seeking to establish a national interdisciplinary research network to explore novel ways to transform health through change at population level. The network will comprise up to seven multi-organisation research clusters, each addressing an important challenge in population health.
Therefore, UKRI is inviting applications to lead the research clusters, which will be funded by awards of between £4.5 million and £7 million (at 80% FEC) per cluster, over four years. UKRI’s application deadline is 26 July 2023.
As Oxford can only submit a maximum of two applications, we are running a coordinated process to choose the proposals to put forward:
Please submit an expression of interest to catriona.hopton@admin.ox.ac.uk (quoting Population Health Network in the subject line), by noon on 9 June 2023.
Expressions of interest should be no more than three pages, and should include:
- A vision for the cluster, and details of the challenge that will be addressed
- A brief description of the cluster's management structure and four-year work programme
- A list of organisations who are expected to participate in the research cluster
- A rough award budget, including a short statement outlining any resource requirements at Oxford (financial/space/administrative) and how these will be met.
PIs should also provide a short email from the HAF or HoD of their hosting department, confirming their support for the application.
A sift panel will meet to review the expressions of interest; PIs will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible after Friday 16 June 2023.
Please refer to the call webpage for further information.
Please contact Catriona Hopton (catriona.hopton@admin.ox.ac.uk) if you have queries about Oxford’s selection process.
