As part of the Research Practice Programme, a survey was distributed examining awareness and adoption of various research practices and resources available in the University. Between February and April 2024, staff and students involved in research at the University of Oxford were targeted across career stages and disciplines. The aim of the survey was to raise awareness of practices and existing guidance, and also help to shape the development of future policy, guidance and training in research practice.
The survey identified gaps in awareness of certain topics, and highlighted the importance of improving the University’s dissemination of training and guidance to researchers. The detailed findings will be used to inform where and how improvements can be made.
The survey will be run annually to help measure progress made in these areas as a result of improved support and training, and also to identify where there is still work to be done.
