Central University Research Ethics Committee (CUREC)

The Central University Research Ethics Committee (CUREC) has overall responsibility for the development of the University’s Research Ethics Policy, and for the University’s ethical review process.

Please note that CUREC does not provide ethical review or approval of individual research project applications - this is delegated to its three subcommittees. Such applications should be sent to the relevant CUREC subcommittee. Further information about how and where to apply for ethical review is available on the research ethics pages.

Regulations

The University’s Regulations (Part 13 of Council Regulations 15 of 2002) set out CUREC’s membership requirements and terms of reference, as well as those of its subcommittees.
